Last week’s Cajun Sports NCAA Football System of the Week qualified two games on Saturday October 31st. In the first game the system qualified the Baylor Bears plus the 14 points over the Nebraska Cornhuskers and they covered for us losing by only 10 points, 20 to 10. In the second qualifying game the system gave us the Kansas Jayhawks plus the 6.5 points over the Texas Tech Red Raiders and the Jayhawks came up well short losing by 21 points with a final score of 42 to 21. So we ended last week with a split on our NCAA Football System of the Week selections.

This week we turn our attention and data mining efforts to teams that are installed as underdogs looking to avenge a shutout loss the last time they faced this week’s opponent. Our research has found these particular underdogs are very motivated in this situation as the system record would indicate, 16-0 ATS dating back to November 3 2001 covering the spread by an average of 13.3 points per game.

System: Play ON an underdog of 4+ points with less than 13 days rest seeking revenge for a shutout SU loss in the last matchup vs. an opponent off a road favorite contest (not a SU win of 8+ points).

This system was only active once during the 2008 College Football Season and that occurrence was on September 27th 2008. On that day Mississippi State was the qualifying team and they were installed as a 23.5 point underdog versus LSU. In that game they did not win straight up but they covered the spread easily losing 34 to 24.

Our system has been active twice already in 2009 and amazingly it was active on an underdog that was facing Southern California in both games. The first time it was active this season was on September 19th with Washington installed as a 19 point underdog versus USC and they actually pulled off the huge upset winning the game 16 to 13 and of course covering the spread. Our second qualifying game happened on September 26th when Washington State was installed as a 45 point underdog versus USC and they covered easily losing 27 to 6.

This week the system is active for a third time and guess what it’s active on an underdog that is facing USC. Arizona State has been installed as an 11 point underdog versus Southern California on Saturday and they are our qualifying play ON team in this week’s system.

With all the system parameters met this week’s Cajun Sports NCAA Football System of the Week qualifies Arizona State as our “Play ON” team versus USC this Saturday. Play Arizona State plus the points and as always good luck.

Cajun Sports NFL Systems Report I
With the start of the NFL regular season just a couple weeks away we thought it would be a good time to share a few of our NFL Systems from our systems library. These systems are diverse in their content but find common ground in the winner’s circle against the spread.

Play ON NFL road favorites of three or more points with an over/under line no more than forty-three points. These road favo ...  read more
