Last weekend saw the Number 1 team in the country fall and the BCS rankings that followed have once again caused fans of certain universities to cry “foul”.
There is still a long way to go and some crucial games yet to be played that will certainly change the BCS landscape before it’s all said and done. That doesn’t mean they will have the right teams in the Championship Game but they have a chance for the BCS system to work itself out, at least that’s what we hope will happen.
In the meantime one of the teams that feel slighted by the recent BCS rankings also qualifies in one of our College Football Systems. The team is Penn State and they may have the right to feel slighted by the rankings but so do a few other teams.
Penn State has to travel to Iowa City this week to face a tough Iowa Hawkeyes squad that would love nothing more than to knockoff this Nittany Lions team.
Penn State is off their emotional win 13-6 over Ohio State in the Horseshoe back on October 25th and have not played since. One might think this is a plus for such a team but if we look at the situation we see that extended time off during the second half of the season has been a problem for undefeated teams when playing on the road.
The teams “momentum factor” is directly affected by their extra time off when they are out of their comfort zone. Our College Football System supports this fact.
The system states From Game 6 on, play AGAINST an undefeated road team with 9 or more days rest versus an opponent not off a non-conference road SU win in its last game. This system has posted a record of 27-0 ATS since 1996 and averages covering the spread by 13.0 points per game.
Good luck with the Hawkeyes this weekend and remember to always check www.cajun-sports.com for more College and Pro Football Winners! Be safe and as always good luck! Gator
